Live in May; Live to Air
Can you read that poster? Then you'll know that Black Chrome are playing at Bar Mode, Palmerston North on May 10. It's part of a warmup for DEATHPUNKFEST 2008.
But more on that later.
Four days after the May 10 show - which would make it May 14 - the 'Chrome are doing a Live-to-air on Radio Control. About 5.30, I'm told.
Wednesday the 14th of May is a special day.
It's Ian Astbury's birthday. You know - the singer from The Cult.
The band that Wolfgang loves so much. Chortle.
So listen in, 1730 hours, 99.4FM if you're in the area, or listen to the streaming at
www.radiocontrol.org.nz
In other news, the lads bid farewell to Jimmy Snuff last month as he flew out to Melbourne. He's having a top time being a top bloke over there - happy trails Jim! Thanks for all the work in getting this site and blog established.
Here's a clip from Jim's last show in Auckland.

BLACK SUN
So, the bNet Radio Network is running a promotion to win a slot playing next years Big Day Out, with each of the regional stations having a competition where bands submit their songs and each pick a winner.
Our local station Radio Control ran this comp and so we decided to enter a new track, our first recorded as a four piece. Mixing of the song 'Black Sun' was finished around midnight the evening before the deadline and it made it's way to the studio WHERE WE WON!
So now the song makes it's way to the big smoke where along with the other regional winners goes in the draw to win the slot at the BDO.
So if you wanna hear our new track, it's currently up on our Myspace site.
And who knows, perhaps we might even finally end up playing a gig in Auckland!
